I would take Tolstoi's "Anna Karenina," because there's always something valuable to be learned from (or reminded of) in it. The Russian authors seem to be popular picks for being standed on a desert island! And I have to agree with another reply, too, in that Joyce's "Ulysses" would be a close second choice for me ('cuz you could spend from now 'til he end of time trying to figure every nuance of that narrative out!).

I couldn't possibly survive with one book, I'd take as many books as I could get on my iMate and of course an air charger so I could keep reading after the battery went flat. There aren't a lot of books I will read more than once, but if they're good I'll remember them forever:)
