The Alienist

Anyone recommend a book similar to the Alienist? Read "The Blackest Bird" by Joel Rose. Was okay, but not as satisfying as the Alienist.

    David Pirie's Murder Rooms series is similar. Stars Conan Doyle and his medical professor whom Sherlock Holmes is based on. The first book in the series is 'The Patient's Eyes.'
