  That's a hard question because they're all fairly unsympathetic characters, and also self-deluded ones, which makes it hard either to identify or sympathize with either of them.

      There is one good reason for reading The Great Gatsby--there's a scene where the narrator, Nick Carraway, very possibly has drunken gay elevator sex.
